AUGG logo The January session of the AUGG (Adobe User Group Geneva) was the first workshop made by the group. Thierry presented us Flex 2.0 by making some nice example (code to come). I presented a fast introduction to AS3 by showing & explaining the code of my Perlin Sound Spectrum Visualizer (example 1, example 2). Here’s the code I presented, it’s slightly different from the two precedent examples.

Warm thanks to the Nomades (specially to Haim) for hosting our meeting :)
If you are interested by some more AS3 tutorials, I’ve made a few video tutorial about actionscript 3.0.

Photshop Cs2 snapshootMonday at the Nomades (IT school in Geneva), I’ll be giving Photoshop CS2 lessons. It’s already the third time I teach an Adobe technologies. My first time was with Flash, my second time with Premiere Pro and now Photoshop. I feel myself very lucky to be able to change the topic at each time (even if it’s more work). Really if you once got the opportunities to give lessons, don’t hesitate it’s great, and as a student, that I am, it helps pass the frustration to be always the one that learn from others ;p

So if you are in Geneva (Switzerland), speak French, and want to learn Photoshop call the Nomades(+41 22 328 07 70) ASAP.

Eltima Flash DecompilerI had a strange call with a new customer who asked me to edit the work of another flash developer that has left without leaving them the fla… I told him that it was crappy to find a good swf to fla decompiler (as I never found a good working one). But I told him that I would find a solution anyway.
In fact the solution was very easy to find: Eltima Flash Decompiler! It works just great and allowed me to make the work in only 1 day. It creates me a nicely made fla with the AS2 code, images, sounds, texts. What do you want more?
The only bad point: it doesn’t work for AS3, but let’s wait that Flash CS3 is release ;)
