My powerbook HD crashed

I just had the joy to open my powerbook, to change my HD. This is the first time I’ve opened my powerbook and everythings went well. So now I’m back to work (exams time)!
By the ways I used this tutorials to change a hard drive in a powerbook. It’s in french but well understandable.
I also learned some shortcuts for the mac use.

  • Stay 20 sec on the reset button will reset the mainboard
  • Press C at the begining and it will diretly boot to the CD/DVD
  • Press cmd left & right with S will bring you to the Unix mode where you can make an “fcsk -y” (a sort of check disc)

    • If you got trouble with your mac you also want to see the macos.com website which has a huge base of article and forum related.
